Commerce Theme

Aristede BustThe theme of the weekend was commerce, with special reference to Aristede Boucicaut who was born in BellÍme in 1810
and opened the world’s first departmental store - Bon Marchť - in Paris.

So we also celebrated the 200th Anniversary of Aristide Boucicaut, with an emphasis on Commerce in the Past, Now
and Fair Trade in the Future

A Photographic Exhibition of businesses in Goring, Streatley, BellÍme and StŁhlingen was shown in the Salle du Pilier.
This will also be exhibited in Goring later in the year.

The Goring Gap Business Network presented the BellÍme Shop (BellÍme Boutique) with a copy of the Village Information Map. This was also displayed on the Twinning Stall.
